In partnership with Zoological Society of London, ORC launched this project in 2012 to improve  the conservation status of EDGE coral species in the Pacific area of Southern Leyte by finding, monitoring and describing EDGE coral species inside and outside nine MPAs in Silago and Hinunangan,  Southern Leyte.  The coral cover and fish density of each MPAs were also assessed. Such data are necessary for guiding policy makers in effective MPA management and enforcement.
